Today Microsoft said that they wont put another bid on Yahoo but we don’t know what will happen in the future

Yahoo plans to reject Microsofts bid. Microsofts bid was $31 per share, some hours ago Jerry Yang said that they want at least $40 per share. That will increase the bid with $12 billions. I wonder if Microsoft is ready to go that far. $56.6 billions is a lot of money.

Yahoo’s managing director Jerry Yang have been looking for any way around Macrosofts bid. Google has also tried to find a way around this.
One solution would be that Yahoo sell their search engine to Google. But the analytics says that it wouldn’t pass the checks. I hope it will…
The bosses at both Google and Yahoo will start to negotiate very soon.

If you use “the nice one” search engines like google and yahoo will index more pages from your domain. It’s a good SEO update

This is how you do to “install” it.
Login to your wp-admin. Options -> Permalinks
Now you get some different link types. Go to the one that says custom. In custom structure add: /%category%/%postname%/

Microsoft has made 44,6 billion dollar bid on Yahoo. It’s two of the biggest companies in the world.
I’m one of these Microsoft haters, I don’t understand why they should own everything :(.
On Friday night Googles managing director Eric Schmidt called Yahoo and offered to help them to get away from Microsoft. It’s a good solution.
If anyone should buy Yahoo it’s Google. They can make things that work, Microsoft can’t.

“Could Microsoft now attempt to exert the same sort of inappropriate and illegal influence over the Internet that it did with the PC?”

That’s written on Googles official blog. If Microsoft buy Yahoo the whole web can change, that’s not good for us freelancers :/.

Google controls around 65% of the search marketing in USA and 85% in Europe. Microsoft and Yahoo would be much smaller, 30% in USA and 10%. But that is still much and would affect most of the things that’s going on on the web. It would be a big difference for the search marketing.

I hope Microsoft won’t buy Yahoo. We’ll see in a few days what will happen…

Yesterday I wrote about extremeBB, now they’ve got a name. TheRealist. The game is still under development and I don’t know when the release will be. Hopefully in a near future. There’s a small demo of the page on therealist.se. Unfortunately it’s in Swedish but at least you can see how it looks. Stay tuned for more updates.

The project of extremeBB is now dead because the developer accidently removed the .CSS file. Now he’s starting on a new project, an online game.
He’s launching a conteset to come up with a name for the game.

Is google really king of the web? Everyone know about Google Search. It was like the first thing I knew about when I started to use internet. For most people Google is like a standard website, everyone use it.
If you look on the top 5 of Alexa.com it looks like this:

1. Yahoo.com
2. MSN.com
3. Google.com
4. YouTube.com
5 Live.com

You see that Google is number three on the list. And they got YouTube right behind them. So they got two sites after each other but not first and second. Microsoft also got two of their sites in the top 5, MSN.com in second place and Live.com in fifth place. And on the first place you see Yahoo.com. So, if you look on these stats you see that Google isn’t king of the web. Yahoo is, but Google got more sites in the top 20 and all of them are well known sites. And that’s what make Google king of the web.

Google are big and they got money. When they wants to buy another company they always offer a big amount of money. Like when they bought YouTube. It was over a billion they offered. I guess all companies wants to get that big. It will be hard to get Google out of the market….
